Cultivation
Snap pea plants should be placed in full sun approximately 1 inches apart. It enjoys a pH between 6.0 and 7.0.
Starting from Seed
Starting indoors and then transplanting is not recommended. Direct sow in the garden 1.000 inches deep 6 weeks before the last frost.
To print a schedule of when to start seeds indoors, when to move outside, and when to direct sow, go to Browse and select the plants you are interested in. Then go to the Planting Schedule.
Seed Saving
Isolate plants by 50 feet for home use. For total purity isolate by 150 feet. Shell Peas, Snap Peas, Southern Peas, and Asparagus Peas will all cross with one another.
