Cultivation
Irish potato plants should be placed in full sun approximately 12 inches apart. It enjoys a pH between 5.0 and 6.5. Amend the soil so that it has plenty of boron (B), nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K).
Starting from Seed
Starting indoors and then transplanting is not recommended. Direct sow in the garden 4.000 inches deep 3 weeks before the last frost.
To print a schedule of when to start seeds indoors, when to move outside, and when to direct sow, go to Browse and select the plants you are interested in. Then go to the Planting Schedule.
